US Holocaust Memorial Museum

The US Holocaust Memorial Museum was created as the result of a unanimous decision by Congress. The museum shows the tragic history of the Nazi persecution and murder of millions of Jewish people from 1933 to 1945.  The exhibitions are presented in three sections: The Nazi rise to power, the period of Nazi rule and the immediate aftermath, presented through an extraordinary collection of photography and film.  To visit the Permanent Exhibition, one must pick up a timed pass or order one via the Internet.
