Michie Tavern has
welcomed travelers for more than 200 years. As you cross the threshold of
old Michie's (pronounced “Mickey’s”) you enter another time. Costumed
hostess welcome you and much like the 18th-century visitor, and you will
enjoy homemade southern fare served on pewter plates. When you
finish the meal, tour the rest of the tavern including the Assembly Room
and Ladies’ Parlor. After touring the Tavern, guests may continue
through various outbuildings and then down a winding path through the
woods, which leads to the Meadow Run Mill and General Store. Michie
Tavern is located less than one mile from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello on
State Route 53, Monticello Mountain.
